Recently, I was tasked with creating a social media presence as an entrepreneur. It’s been a while since I had to begin from the ground up. (Remember those days when the fans who had liked your site were known as “fans?” Those were the days before Facebook!) Becoming aware of the rapid social media changes makes it essential to think about your strategy and not do things as you’ve always done. So, I started to consider whether increasing the number of people using Facebook is required. What’s my conclusion?
It’s still vital. Here’s why.
Facebook followers can be described as “warm” leads. They are people who, quite literally, like your business. They may have purchased from you, maybe consider buying from you, or appreciate the message you’re spreading to the world. The important thing is that they’ve reached the threshold and are at your house. They’re impressed by your home. They’re the people most likely to benefit from any sale or promotion you are running click here.
Another issue is the unfortunate reality that vanity metrics are essential. If you’ve built a following, it adds credibility to your company. It is essential to clients, potential partners and even your employees. It’s a great feeling when you’re in the spotlight, and there are people there to support you!
The best part is…you can achieve this feat without much effort!
Make sure you are constantly growing your Facebook followers, but don’t place it on the list of top priorities. The organic reach of Facebook is low in the single percentile. Most of those who follow your page are unlikely to see it if you publish. If you spend all your time, money and effort on gaining a following, you’ll never get the ROI you’re looking for.
Concentrate on sharing content appropriate to your business.
Increase the reach of your posts and employ targeting to define your ideal customers as a group.
Invite everyone who interacts with your blog post to “like” your page.
It’s that simple. There’s no need to be stressed about working out how you can increase your reach. Ensure you focus on the content; the other aspects will come later.
Being a fan and having a following on Facebook isn’t a bad thing. Its average reach sits around 5.2 per cent per Hootsuite. If you can increase the number of followers, you can reach more people who can view your posts naturally (ex. 100 followers/5 people view your posts. 1000 followers/50 people read your posts.)
Additionally, you will appreciate having an audience of people familiar with your brand and take the initial step of engaging on your behalf with the brand. It means you can “boost” posts to reach them in connection with the event or an offer that will make them most likely to be at your event or make purchases.
Keep growing your following on the platform, But don’t make it the primary priority. Make sure you create shareable content or tap into the latest trends. You can then increase the content so that they reach a larger group of people. The appropriate people to build your audience and earn an income for your business.
